What data we collect and why
When you use our Contact Us form, we collect your name and email address so we can respond to your enquiry.
When you join Bridge at Sea, sign up for a free app trial, download a movement card or the Bridge Scorer V3 installer, or enquire about a cruise booking, we collect your name and email address (and, for solo cabin cruise bookings, your date of birth, phone number and address, so we can pass these on to the cruise line if you proceed with a booking). This information is stored so we can send you the trial link or download, follow up on your enquiry, and — unless you unsubscribe — occasional updates about bridge cruises and new apps. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email with “unsubscribe” in the subject line, or by contacting us directly.
When you visit our website, basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type may be logged automatically by our hosting provider (EasyWP/Namecheap) for security and performance purposes.
Cookies
Our website uses a cookie consent tool (CookieYes) so you can choose which cookies to allow. You’ll see a banner on your first visit letting you Accept All, Reject All, or Customise your preferences.
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are popular and how people find us. This data is anonymised and used only to improve the site.
Our Ko-fi tipping widget and the affiliate links on our Book a Cruise page (to Ambassador Cruise Line and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, via the AWIN affiliate network) may also set their own cookies when you interact with them, used to process tips or to credit a booking referral. These are governed by Ko-fi’s and AWIN’s own privacy policies.
If you leave a comment or fill in a form, your browser may also store your name and email address locally for your convenience on future visits. You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings link in the site footer, or disable cookies entirely in your browser settings.

Third party services
Our website uses the following third party services: Yoast SEO (search optimisation), WPForms (contact and sign-up forms), CookieYes (cookie consent management), Google Analytics (visitor statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies), Google Sheets and Gmail via Google Apps Script (to store form submissions and send you trial links, downloads, and enquiry responses), Ko-fi (for optional tips and support), and AWIN (affiliate tracking for our cruise line partners).
